In The 500 and Growing Podcast, the host Jesus “Azteca 500” Sanchez, a visual artist, poet, MC, music producer, amateur boxer and motivational speaker, has thoughtful conversations with guests who are making a unique footprint in the world. Guests will engage in a reflective dialogue on their experiences and the lessons learned as they navigated through adversities to stay true to their goals and passions.

Every loved one deserves dignity in their passing to the afterlife. The mourning process is a very difficult one. Jesus A. Sanchez’s art concentrates on making that process a little easier for loved ones who hold that person close to their hearts.

Azteca 500 Music
Azteca 500 is a emcee, poet, Bboy, DJ, music producer and visual artist. He is from Chicago’s Little Village (La Villita) community. La Villita is a predominantly a first generation Mexican community on the south west side of Chicago. Growing up there he has seen a beauty that is not often broadcast to the world by local or national media. He wants to show an alternative perspective of Little Village and communities of color by creating music that reflects that beauty.

Health and Fitness
Jesus Sanchez boxed in high school but stopped soon after, and as an adult, he decided to live a healthy lifestyle. He began to train in boxing, stopped consuming alcohol, and started a plant-based diet. He participated in the 2019 and 2022 Chicago Golden Gloves Tournaments and reached the championship bout but received runner-up in both. He also participated in the 2023 Centennial Chicago Golden Gloves Tournament and finally won the Championship. Through injuries, trails, and tribulations, he has managed to maintain a healthy lifestyle by pushing his body and mind at the advanced age of 40+ years of age.
He is excited to share what he has learned about sustaining a healthy lifestyle into adulthood and an advanced age.
